Criminal-record and social-profile search option.
View RecordsChoose between Oklahoma court dockets and an OSBI criminal history search, prepare identifiers, and understand candidate matches and missing records.
Use OSBI CHIRP for the Oklahoma criminal-history service; use OSCN docket search when your question concerns a particular court case or filing. The history product and court case have different identifiers and purposes. A court judgment is the more precise evidence when you need to establish how a specific charge ended.
| Status or result | What it tells you | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| Pending | Request is still being processed | Check the same account; do not submit another paid search merely because this one is pending. |
| Ready / Select Candidate | Possible identity matches require selection | Compare identifiers before choosing; use OSBI verification when required. |
| No candidate selected | Your selection alone does not confirm or deny an OSBI record | Do not describe it as a state-issued clearance. |
| Expired | Results are available for 60 days | Save the issued result before expiration; resubmission incurs another charge. |
CHIRP uses first/last name and date of birth, permits up to three aliases and makes Social Security number optional. Its search includes dates of birth three years on either side, so an offered candidate is not automatically the person sought.
The published criminal-history search is $15 plus a $1 online transaction fee. Optional registry searches are separate. Fees are nonrefundable; check inputs before payment.
Keep the issued result, not only the portal status. For a disputed or unclear court outcome, obtain the case-specific disposition separately.
OSBI says CHIRP does not supply other-state history or driving records. Its history data concern reported Oklahoma serious-misdemeanor and felony events. A missing result is not a search of every court system nationwide. Service details checked September 29, 2026.
